Duck Egg Blue Mughal Jaal Dhurrie

This jaal/pattern is inspired by Mughal architecture. This kind of decoration is commonly seen in the windows, jharokhas and/or screens of Mughal palaces, mosques and mausoleums. The Taj Mahal is the best and most widely recognised example of this kind of architectural design element.

Each of our rugs are 100% cotton, and handwoven on a loom. Artisans in Rajasthan work on one rug or dhurrie for 15-25 days from start to finish. Part of the proceeds from the sale of these rugs goes directly to our artisans.
